ON ARRIVAL – Please take 5 minutes to read through our Compendium as it does provide important information regarding your accommodation that will assist in you enjoying your stay with us. We are happy to help you in any way we can – please just ask us!

ON DEPARTURE – Before you leave us, we would ask that you empty your bin and load up the dishwasher or wash your dishes. As we live in the middle of a National Park with all the associated bugs and beasties, this ensures that we don’t have unwelcome guests in our rooms attracted by food and sticky things.

If you are part of a group staying with us, please return any cutlery, crockery or cookware to the specific apartments that it came from, and if you have moved furniture, please ensure that it is relocated to its’ original position.

Adaptors - International adaptors are available from Reception during Reception hours. A bond will be charged against your account which will be reversed when the adaptor is returned to Reception on your departure.

After Hours Onsite Manager - If you do need to contact us after hours for emergencies or are locked out of your room, please head down to Reception and pick up the Night Phone, which is to the left of Reception. There is always a mobile posted on the front door as well.

Air Conditioner - Power – Turn on/off using the remote control. Ensure your power card is fully inserted next to the entry.

Temperature – Mode can be changed from cool (snowflake symbol) to heat (sun symbol).

Whilst in cool mode the unit works best set to 22-23 degrees.  Whilst in the heat mode, the unit works best set to 25-26 degrees. If you are heading out for the day, please remove the power card to conserve electricity.

Please note that in a 1 Bedroom Spa Suite the controller at the entry runs both air conditioning units.

Airport Details - Kalbarri Airport, which is available for private charters, is approximately 10kms away by car. The nearest commercial airport is Geraldton Airport, which is 162kms south of Kalbarri – a drive of approximately 1 ¾ hours.

BBQ - BBQ facilities are located within the pool area. Children are not permitted to use these facilities without the supervision of a parent or guardian. This area is available during daylight hours only. As the bbq is located within the pool area, please do not bring breakable items past the pool fence. As always – no glass at all is permitted anywhere at the pool.
If the bbq located on your deck runs out of gas, please contact us in Reception as we can immediately replace it for you.

Bathroom Amenities - Your bathroom is stocked with amenities for your convenience. Extra items can be collected from Reception during Reception hours.
Please note that as our rooms are self contained we do not service rooms daily – for stays of 5 nights or longer there is a mid stay service.

Bottled Water - Bottled water is available to purchase from Reception. Please note that the tap water is fine to drink and does not require boiling.

Breakfast - Continental buffet breakfast is offered between 7am and 9am daily.  Adults $17, Children 7 - 12yrs $8.50 and children 4 yrs and under eat for FREE!  

Car Rental - Contact “Cars for U2 Hire” on 9937 1290 or Kalbarri Visitor Centre for car hire options.

Cash Payment - If paying by cash, we require the account to be pre-paid in full in advance and any additional purchases paid as incurred on your account. It is our policy that your account is kept in credit during your stay with us. You may pre-pay your account on check in or pay daily. We may require a deposit to cover any extras (food and beverage charges etc).

Cots and High Chairs - Are available free of charge. Please ask at Reception. Pre-booking is advised as we do have limited availability of these items.

Credit Cards - We accept all major credit cards: American Express, MasterCard & Visa. Personal cheques cannot be accepted unless prior arrangements have been made with the Manager. Credit card fees apply, and the percentage may change from time to time.

DVD Player - All 1 Bedroom Spa Suites have a DVD player. The DVD players will also play music CD’s through the DVD player. See the “HOW TO” at the back of this compendium for instructions on your DVD player.

Electric Current - 240 Volts. A.C.50 cycles. A selection of adaptors, power boards and extension cords are available from Reception. A bond will be charged against your account which will be reversed when the item is returned to Reception on your departure. 

Emergency, Fire and Medical - In the case of any emergencies please contact Reception in the first instance. Outside of office hours, the Managers’ contact details are posted nightly on the Reception front & side doors. Alternatively call 000 from your mobile telephone. In case of fire please exit your unit and assemble on the footpath at the front of the property. 

A Medical Centre and Doctor’s Surgery are located in Kalbarri, about a 1-minute drive on Kaiber Street. For a full list of medical and emergency contact numbers please refer to the “Emergency Phone Numbers” page  in this compendium. 

Express Checkout - Should you be leaving outside our normal hours of operation please let us know as wecan organise to have your finalised account emailed on to you after your departure. There is an Express Check Out form located in your compendium. 

Feedback - At Kalbarri Edge Resort we truly care about your experience. If there is anything we can do to improve your stay, please contact the front desk. We would sincerely appreciate you taking a few minutes to share your comments about your experience with us. Please take our short survey and drop it off on our departure.

First Aid - For first aid information please contact Reception. 

Generators - The use of generators within the property is permitted between the hours of 10am and 5pm only to avoid disturbance to other guests.

Hairdresser - Riverview Hair Studio on Grey St Kalbarri 9937 2696. 

Ice - Ice for drinks is available from Reception free of charge. If you require larger amounts of ice for eskies etc please ask us for the locations where bags of ice may be purchased.

Incoming Messages - Reception will endeavour to contact you with any messages left at the front desk. If you are expecting messages, please contact Reception on your return to the property.

Internet - Kalbarri Edge Resort offers free wireless internet. The Welcome Letter which you were given on arrival has the code listed in the map section or ask us about it in Reception.

Keys - All keys must be returned to Reception prior to your departure – do not leave them in your rooms. The cost for lost keys is $50.

Kiosk - We have a small kiosk located in Reception for purchase of lollies, snacks, noodles, drinks and bottled water. Kiosk is available during Reception hours.

Locks - There are no internal door locks due to legislation relating to emergency evacuation. If you are concerned that your smaller children may let themselves out, please see us in Reception where we can provide a door chock.

Lost & Found - The Housekeeping Department retains lost property for 1 month. After this time, it is donated to charities. Please make sure that you check your room carefully before your departure to ensure that you have taken all your belongings. We are more than happy to return lost property to you and charge your credit card for the postage only. 

Luggage Storage & Assistance - Luggage storage & assistance is available during Reception hours.

Mail - Mail may be left at Reception for posting and you may also have mail redirected to our postal address during your stay with us. 

Noise - Please be aware that noise reverberates throughout the complex, and we ask that all windows, doors and sliders are closed and that no noise is detectable from outside. We are a family style resort and do not permit parties or large gatherings within the apartments. Should you feel a situation requires reporting to Management please feel free to contact us and we will investigate regardless of the hour. Please pop up to the office and contact us on the black wall phone next to Reception.

Parking – Vehicles, boats, trailers and campers - 

Each type of apartment is permitted the following number of spaces for cars, trailers, boats or campers. If you have additional vehicles, please see Reception regarding where to park them.

Studio – 1 space
1 Bedroom Spa Suite – 1 vehicle space
2 Bedroom Spa Suite – 2 vehicle spaces

Boats, trailers, caravans and campervans cannot be driven past the pool fence or may become wedged in the drive! Please see us in the office regarding parking these or any additional vehicles


Pets - Assistance animals (guide dogs) and Police dogs are permitted into accommodation areas and on the premises. It is the policy of this property that all other pets ARE NOT permitted in accommodation. This includes, but is not limited to rodents, birds, fish and reptiles. Charges of up to $300 may apply for sanitisation & deodorisation.

Pool - The pool is open from 7am through to sunset daily. Entry to this area is strictly conditional upon adhering to the rules as displayed in the pool area.

Children are STRICTLY not permitted in this area without the physical attendance of a parent or guardian supervising within the pool gates as per the rules as displayed in the pool area. Management reserves the right to refuse entry to any guest within this area.

Strictly no glass is allowed within the pool area – please do not bring apartment crockery and glassware into this area. Reception has plastic crockery and cutlery available.

Pool towels are available at Reception at no extra charge. A bond will be charged against your account pending their return to Reception at the end of your stay.

Post Office - The nearest Post Office is Kalbarri Post Office situated on Hackney Street.

Power Outages - From time to time we experience power outages in Kalbarri due to continuing faults in the power grid supplying the area. Whilst Western Power are continuously working to improve electrical service to our area, this is beyond our control. We do have candles and torches available at Reception should you need them. We thank you in advance for your co-operation and understanding should you experience a black out during your stay.

Reception - Reception is open from 8am through to 6pm Monday to Sunday. Please note that these times may vary over school and Public Holiday periods. Times will be posted on the front door to Reception and contact information is always available for the Managers.

Check-In time is from 2:00pm daily
Check-Out time is by 10:00am daily.

Should you wish to stay a little longer, please contact Reception and every effort will be made to assist you dependent on our availability and housekeeping schedule. For guests wishing to depart outside Reception hours we ask that you settle your account the night before or complete an Express Checkout Form, located in your compendium.

Religious Services - Enquire at Reception for information on these services. We have a Catholic and Anglican church here in town.

Reservations - Kalbarri Edge Resort is part of the Hospitality Group. Should you require a forward reservation to any of our other properties please enquire at Reception. We have properties located in Port Hedland, Carnarvon, Geraldton, Esperance and Kalgoorlie.

Restaurant and Bar - Breakfast is available Monday to Sunday from 7am. Dinner is available seven nights a week for dinner from 6pm with last orders at 8.30pm (note that very occasionally, we may be short staffed and the Restaurant may be closed on certain days).  Our restaurant is stocked with a selection of beers, wines, spirits and soft drinks. Strictly NO BYO. (Restaurant may be closed on Public Holidays and, if open, a 10% surcharge does apply). In-house guests may purchase alcohol from our bar to consume in the rooms. TO AVOID DISSAPOINTMENT DINNER BOOKINGS ARE ESSENTIAL!

Room Servicing - For stays of 5 nights or longer there is a mid stay service.

Any extra consumables you may require are available from Reception during the posted hours of operation.

Security - Please keep your apartment key cards in a safe place.  Kalbarri Edge Resort is accessible only by guests. When heading out for the day, please remember to close and lock all sliding doors and windows. If you have items of value please contact Reception to utilise our safe service.

Shopping - The local supermarket is the IGA located on Grey Street.

Smoking - All apartments are non-smoking. Smoking is permitted on the balconies, but please be considerate of others above or below you and ensure that all windows, doors and sliders are closed so that smoke does not infiltrate the apartment.

Should sanitisation & deodorisation of the apartment, furnishings or linen be required after your stay, charges of up to $300 may apply.

Tea and Coffee Facilities - Your apartment is stocked with instant coffee, sugar and tea bags. Extras of these items can be picked up from Reception.

Television - Your channels are already preprogrammed – 1 to 99 are free to air, and from 100 – 120 is Foxtel. Please do not change any of your television default settings.  See the “HOW TO” at the back of this compendium for instructions on your television.

Tour Booking Desk - Please contact Reception to discuss information on local attractions and tours available. We also have local maps and brochures available. The local Visitors’ Centre is close by and able to advise you on all there is to see & do in Kalbarri.

Towels - Pool towels are available at Reception at no extra charge. A bond will be charged against your account pending their return to Reception at the end of your stay.

Washing Machine and Dryer - Available in the 1 Bedroom Spa Suites only.
• Wash – Use Quick Wash
• Drying – Push Power button – push Dry button – push RPM and select 0 – push Start

See the “HOW TO” at the back of this compendium for instructions on your washer/dryer.
Please do not force the door as it will break – it will open 5 minutes after the end of the cycle.

Washing powder is available at Reception.
We also have a coin operated Guest Laundry – the machines (washer and dryer) each take 3 x $1.00 coins per load. The location is marked on your map.
